Application Process
Students are referred to Minnick Education Centers by their home school districts through the local Family Assessment and Planning Teams (FAPT) with the consent of the parents or legal guardians. Tuition for students is paid through Comprehensive Services Act. Your child's school division will work with you to collect information for the application, which includes
- Components of the student's most recent eligibility, including Eligibility Committee meeting minutes
- Most recent social history
- Student's current Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Recent Behavior Intervention Plan
- Results of any standardized testing and cumulative grade record
- Up-to-date immunizations and tuberculin test results
Our staff reviews the information, and if it appears that Minnick is the best place for your child, we will schedule a visit. This gives the student an opportunity to visit the school and interact with staff, which we encourage. We strive to make a decision about enrollment as soon as possible after the visit. Some additional paperwork may be necessary if your child is accepted.
If you have questions, please call the individual campus of Minnick Education Centers.
